  •  The applicant identifies a new or existing business and is willing to manager and operate this business. He / she has the capital to invest in the business or to acquire, enhance an existing business. The business must generate / retain jobs and must bring economic benefit.
  • A detailed business plan, dossier and feasibility report is prepared and submitted with the LMIA application;
  • The client incorporates a company to conduct the selected business;
  • Pursuant to obtaining the approval / positive Labour Market Impact Assessment, the applicant applied for a closed, business work permit.

Canada Start-Up Visas

This is about innovation, about starting a business in Canada that would compete on a global scale, creating employment or even supporting innovative entrepreneurs / business people.

This process takes about 12-16 months.

If you have an innovative business idea, you may be able to obtain support for your idea from one of the designated organizations. This program leads to permanent residence in Canada.

Foremostly, one should have a ‘qualifying business’ meaning that in order to get a commitment from a designated organization, each applicant holds at least 10% voting rights attached to all shares of the corporation outstanding at that time and the applicant/s and the designated organization jointly hold more than 50 percent of the toal voting rights attached to all shares of the coporation outstanding at that time.

You receive permanent residence based on this program and pursuant to receiving this status, you must provide active and ongoing management support to the business from within Canada and remain an essential part of the operations of the business in Canada.

The designated organisation will issue a Letter of Support for the processing of your Canadian Start-Up application.

While the permanent residence is being processed, the applicant can apply for a temporary work permit to get to Canada and start / establish the business.
